mile from the center of town is an entrance into Rock
Creek Regional Park, where hiking and biking can be
enjoyed along scenic Beach Drive.
The
Town of Kensington has seven wonderful parks with mature
trees and landscaped gardens, some with benches, picnic
tables, fountains, playing fields and public art.

Ken-Gar Palisades Park

This park features a playground, softball field, baseball
field, multi-use field and tennis courts, and a recreation
building available for rent. The park is a regular training
site of the largest running club in the area, the Montgomery
County Road Runners Club, according to the "Running

Among its features are tennis and basketball courts,
